Do you want to control your P or cure it. If you want to control it keep seeing your doctor, if you wan to cure it start doing some research on alternative healing for P.
I too suffered form P for many years, had it all over the place like you. I was tired of spending lots of money at the doctors office just to cover up the condition and not cure it. I started to find the answer I was seeking that the doctor could not give.
I found that P is more related to our digestive system not working correctly more than anything else. There are some studies that show people with P also have Leaky Gut Syndrome ( look it up on the net) that contributes to P. DR Casey was a big proactive supporter for LGS and curing P.
Here is what I did to cure my psoriasis...It's life changing and hard but the results are with it.
* Give up all sugar
* Eat raw when ever you can
* Drink water, water and more water
* I use Flax seed oil daily
* I use Milk thistle daily.
* Cut out meat
* Cut out dairy
* Control the amount or cut out breads.
* I drink ACV daily to help keep my digestive system alkaline.
There are so many things to try, some will work and some won't. You need to find what will work for you. Take some time and search around and write down some ideas that you can easily try and see if these hold a key to some results.
Good luck, it can be done.
My mother has psoriasis and she uses a cream called Cocois which is indeed prescribed and neutralises any irritation of the skin. The patches of dried skin is brought to skin colour, so they are not easily visible when using this cream. My mother only uses it once or twice a week and is comfortable to wear swimsuits etc.
There are several effective, but very strong drugs for bad psoriasis. There is some risk (they are often immune suppressors), but there is also a huge benefit if the disease is ruining your life. There is also phototherapy and a few other approaches. Go here: http://www.psoriasis.org/treatment/psori鈥?/a>
coconut oil/cream is excellent for psoriasis. You could also go to an aromatherapist as there are some essential oil blends that they can make to help with your psoriasis.
Are you near West Yorkshire?
There is a place in Elland which boasts impressive results using natural methods - can't speak for results personally.
My husband tried SkinZinc with limited results. It cost about $50.00 online. BUT he has had GREAT results with a Psoriasis creme from Walmart. $5.99!!
