Advice about pet mice?

I bought a pair of young female mice two days ago. Both are still pretty skittish but one of them in particular really freaks when I try to handle her. Is this going to be a permanent situation? Should I let her be for a few days to let her get settled into her new home, or should I keep trying to handle her? I know you need to handle them lots to get them tame, but she REALLY does not want to be touched.

I'm worried I picked a mouse with ';issues';. How should I handle this situation?Advice about pet mice?
the best way is to leave her alone. let her get moved into new place and seing you and your hands getting close to the cage by cleaning and feeding them. they will see your not going to hurt them. then after time you will slowly work on petting them. you want to feed them first. the smell on your hands and assoc. of you comming around will help you to get closerAdvice about pet mice?
she may stay like i had a hamstyer like that but i fixed it by handling him but i recently had another for about 2 years and no matter how much i handled him he still freaked out every time i tried to pick him up
I've heard that a way to get rodents to get use to you is by giving them a tissue or something small like that that has your scent. Put the ';scented'; tissue into their cage so they get use to your smell.

leave your mouse alone for a few days to let it get use to it's new surrondings as well as your tissue. The tissue will let them get use to your smell so when you stick your hand in they won't freak out.
you definately should leave them alone for a couple days. come in a couple times a day and just talk to them. [you can read a book if you dont know what to talk about, they don't really know the difference] then graduate to feeding them out of your hand. then petting. THEN picking up. [set aside a couple days for each step] 鈾?your mousies will be fine =]
I had two mices one at a time but they were males they were really sweet and never bit me I have a rat now. If you have wild mice I dont really know much about them. But the fancy mouse I do. They will most likley fit in eventualy. It took my rat to get comfrotable awhile and she still isnt overly shure but Ive only had here for 2 weeks. My mouse as soon as I brought him home was so loving he chatered and he loved to be held unlike most rodents. He would ride my shoulder and he knew how to give kisses. Just give your mice some time pet them but dont pick them up to much, you dont wanna freak them out. Good Luck! I hope you enjoy your little mousies!
I would leave her alone. Try just introducing your hand into the cage for a while each day. Increase the time your hand is in there. Try to move closer to her, bit by bit. Eventually you should be able to pet her a little. Then eventually have her run on your hand and then hold. Some mice are like this, but if you let her have time to get to know your smell and feel safe she will come around.
pet mice is not good we get many diseases from that
