Advice about my Saturn?

I'm 18 and I start college in August (community college) and I am worried that my car will not make it through. It is about 14 years old and has over 200,000 miles on it because it used to be my grandma's car. It's running well for it's age and everything but I guess I'm looking for advice on how to know when it's starting to go down hill and how to keep it in good shape. I don't have much money so if something happens to it I'm in trouble.Advice about my Saturn?
change the oil perform proper maintence, and dont let things add up, such as u need brakes 1 month later now u need rotors 2 weeks later now calipers from a simple brake job to a expensive brake job, that went from 150$ to 500$ i'm guessing on the low side if its been good it will stay good aslong as u dont tear it upAdvice about my Saturn?
