The concern with chicken is most usually the bones. Just don't feed her any chick with bone in. I am a former veterinary assistant, and in my experience the vet never deterred chicken in a diet unless the dog was allergic to it. THe only way to know this is through allergy testing. I recommend you actually discuss diet and treats and feeding schedule with your veterinarian. Your vet will recommend a diet and schedule in the best interest of your growing puppy, and that will best support housebreaking, which is particularly difficult with small breeds. Also ask about crate training, which caters to a dog's natural instinct to den. Sometimes breeders recommend some really off the wall things, and the recommendations will vary extremely from one breeder to the next.Need advice about pomeranian puppies!!!!! help everyone?
Thanks for choosing my answer. Good luck with your puppy!

I used to breed Pomeranians, and have never heard that they shouldn't eat chicken.
I did a search for breeders feeding Poms chicken and got many results recommending it: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en%26amp;rls=G鈥?/a>
All I can figure is that an allergy to chicken is running it that breeder's bloodlines. However, if a dog is allergic to chicken, they have other major allergy problems.
I think the breeder may have been referring to bones. Poms do choke easily.
A friend of mine has a Pom and she loves chicken and eats it often. I have never heard that it is bad for them. This particular dog may have an allergy or something so if I were you, I would call the breeder and ask why she can't have chicken.
I own a pomeranian and I've not heard that chicken is bad for them. I also know some other pomeraninan owners who have fed their pets chicken and had no problems. Be sure you don't give them cooked chicken bones though as they tend to splinter and can caught their throat and stomach and could even lead to death. I'm sure your pom will be just fine and if you are that concerned with it just cut it out of her diet.
Hi!
I have a Pomeranian too, and I've never heard that my dog can't have chicken- although she is allergic to corn. Is there any way you can call the breeder and see if there was a specific reason she said this? Otherwise, if there wasn't a problem when you gave her the treats, I don't see a problem with giving her chicken :)
I have never herd that Pomeranian cant eat chicken i used to have a Pomeranian and the vet told me that it is good for the Pomeranian to eat chicken so dont worry nothing is going to happen to your Pomeranian puppy.
