My fiance took a job 2 months ago. The pay isn't very good but he took it anyways. He was never told at that time that he would travel. Now in 2 months he has been gone 6 weeks. He asked his boss and now he is supposed to be gone every week until our wedding (which is in 7 weeks). He is miserable and wants to quit and start a handyman type business. He can't really start another job because of the wedding. What should he do? I am worried about the money situation but I also don't want our wedding ruined because of this job either....I need advice about my fiances job situation...?
The wedding is the least important factor here. A wedding is one day, being able to spport yourselves is something that will be part of your lives forever. This is your life that you are talking about. He needs to suck it up until after the wedding and then start looking after the wedding for a job that suits him better. Next time he needs to ask more questions in his job interview about the requirements of the job. If you two can't communicate about things like jobs without breaking up I would stop worrying about the weddding and start thinking about holding off on the wedding until you are both ready to get married. Doesn't sound like everything is right to me. Once you get married you can't go back so if you have bad communication skills now being married is only going to make things worse not better. Good luck.I need advice about my fiances job situation...?
Well...if you look closely I believe you already answered your own quesiton: ';he can't really start another job because of the weddings.'; That really doesn't leave much choice now, does it. And with it being only 7 weeks before the wedding, it really wouldn't be advisable for him to quit now. It is too close to the wedding for him to think about starting another business right now. Has he at least informed his boss of your upcoming wedding and requested the needed time off for it?
Your wedding is in 7 weeks. I am sure your wedding will not be ruined if he keeps this job up until the wedding and then finds a new one after.
future good
