I want to use certain icons for my desktop but dont know how to go about getting them? Any advice?

Right click on the icon you want to change. In the next panel, click on ';change icon';. A panel with standard icons appears. Either choose one to them, or if you want to use your own picture, press browse and find the picture on your disk. Select that picture.


I am not sure, but I think the picture has be in a bit map format (.BMP)

Do an online search for ';icons';. There are thousands of them available on the Net for free. Just go hunting for what you want. If someone else has the icon you want, ask them for a copy. (Do a right click on the icon, go into the properties, and tell it you want to change the icon. It will open a box displaying the name and location of the current icon. Just copy that file to get the icon.)
